Susan M. Marting - Mind Garden

Susan Marting earned her degree in Health Science from the University of Missouri and is certified through the National Wellness Institute as a stress management instructor. She has over 30 years of experience leading holistic stress management workshops, and has co-authored the Coping Resources Inventory, published in 1989. Susan first began working on the CRI in the early 1980s as a pre and post-test for her stress management workshop participants. Teaming up with Allen Hammer, they honed the instrument into a useful tool for discovering resources one has available to cope with stress. Susan is a certified t'ai chi instructor and she incorporates information about the Stress Response and the Relaxation Response as she teaches this moving meditation. Additionally, she continues to lead workshops on stress management and meditation. Susan freely shares stories of her own life experiences with humor and in solidarity with those who seek peace.
