For Self Rating
The self rating instruments only need the individual
to rate themselves. Order the instrument and the number of assessments
you need. 
Mind
Garden will provide you with a Web page for you to enter the name
and email address of each person you wish to assess.
You press a button to send an email to each person providing them with a Web page to complete their self rating. When complete your Web page will indicate their completion of their survey. Press the “request” button on the page to have Mind Garden generate your report as a pdf file and send you the link on the Mind Garden website to open and save the report.
Researchers can use the same Mind Garden Web assessment system but receive a data file rather than reports.
Image to the right shows a sample web page for the person ordering two evaluations. Fill in the names of the two individuals to be evaluated, and Mindgarden sends out customized emails to those individuals to initiate the process.
For Multirater
The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) is a multirater assessment, meaning that several people rate the target individual. The MLQ also provides your organizational normative information in the report. When you order the MLQ indicate the number of assessments you need and whether you want to include the three textual input questions with the assessment and report. Indicate if you want to create a norm for your organization. You can indicate two norms if you wish; for example, the particular group for a workshop as well as your corporate name for comparison across the whole corporation. If you only need each individual compared to others in your organization just use one norm.
The multirater web system is especially effective for researchers because of the complexity of multirater assessment. The Web provides a convenient method for accomplishing ratings.
To
begin, Mind Garden will provide you, the client, with a Web page for
you to enter the name and email address of each person you wish to
assess (see image above for sample). Before pressing the button
to send an email to these individuals, enter the date you want each
individual to compete their assessment and a deadline for when raters
should complete the assessment of the target individual.
The email you send via the Mind Garden Web page will provide a special Web page for each individual to be rated. This customized page lays out the steps by which they will:
- Give names and email addresses for those individuals who will rate
them as leaders.
- Submit those raters and send them an email invitation.
- Go to the self-assessment page and complete it online.
- Check back to see that raters have completed the evaluation.
From this page, individuals can send out the email invitations and can send our reminder emails.
You as client also have full access to these Web pages so you can see who they are requesting to rate them, as well as enter rater information yourself if you wish.
Also note that in step two, the form allows the individual to give name and email address for each rater, along with an indication of the rater's job position (peer, supervisor, subordinate).
When the rater receives their email invitation, they go to the customized web page indicated, and fill out the online rating form.
Finally, you, the client always have the ability to go back to your own customized webpage to check on the progress of the individuals being rated.
When all parties have completed the process, Mindgarden gathers the results and issues the final leadership evaluation.
Bounce backs
Email addresses can be entered incorrectly in which case Mind Garden will send you all bounce back messages to correct the email that was entered. All rating notices go from invite@mindgarden.com so you might want to send an email to people you are assessing to tell them to expect communication from this email address.
