Company Background
Mind Garden is an independent psychological publishing company of leadership, coping, anxiety and many other assessments and developmental materials. Since 1994, Mind Garden has sought to preserve and grow important psychological assessments. Toward that end, Mind Garden offers a variety of assessment tools from many authors. In the quest to grow the health of the human psyche, we facilitate feedback and self understanding.
Mind Garden is unique in providing permission to reproduce our products. This is ideal for researchers and professionals wanting to modify instruments. Traditional paper is also available. Mind Garden also provides samples of instruments and scoring in our Sampler Sets so that you do not need to order additional components to understand an instrument. If you have particular needs, ask us about them.

Who We Are
Robb Most, Ph.D., President
Dr. Most is the President of Mind Garden, Inc. Robb has been in the psychological assessment publishing business since 1978 and is proud of the efficiency of Mind Garden and that it is providing a service to the assessment and development community. Robb believes that if you score poorly on the Non-Verbal Measure of Stress, you should be doing yoga (he does).
Alice T. Brock, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Brock handles the financial arrangements and accounts payable for Mind Garden. If you're looking to bribe someone, she's the one.
Rob Devine, Consultant at Large
Robert Devine focuses on the acquisitions and editorial functions around a number of our test and inventory materials, technical manuals, web-delivered reports and facilitation guides. He helps us select and develop products that enable researchers, HR professionals and management experts to be more effective in their work with individuals, teams, and whole organizations.
Rob has served as a Senior Project Director with CPP, Inc., working on a broad array of materials used in counseling and organizational settings. He has extensive experience in business and industry, working in product development, project management, sales and sales force supervision, marketing and senior leadership assignments. Rob began his career as an educator in the elementary classroom, teaching students about the intricacies of getting along, getting ahead, improving performance, and finding balance in the day by taking recess. These important themes continue in his present work on Mind Garden projects, as well as in his consulting practice.
Vickie Jaimez, Accounts Receivable
Vickie handles accounts receivable. If you have a billing issue she's the one to point the finger at. To put a name to a face, if you call Mind Garden, more than likely you'll be speaking with this lovely human being. P.S. She likes chocolate and won't be mad if you put some in the mail for her.
Valorie
Keller, Director of Marketing, Fulfillment & Maggie
Valorie works at Mind Garden part-time in pre- and post-sale support. Since coming to Mind Garden in October 2007, she has taken Robb and Vickie up on their offer 
to "change whatever needs to be changed" and has recommended various process improvements to achieve Robb's son's goal for the business: "to be able to run the business from an iPhone someday". She particularly likes the concept of making Mind Garden continually easier to do business with. Val's background is in Marketing, Sales, and Sales Management. While she has worked in several small businesses, the majority of her experience is with large companies including Exxon, Texas Instruments, US West, Southwestern Bell, and Pacific Bell. She has a B.S. and an M.S. from the University of Colorado. Maggie is Mind Garden's mascot and part-time psychological counselor. She is a great listener; Robb calls her MG's emotional bedrock. You may see her in the shipping department sniffing around on the floor for crumbs. She cleans the floor better than a Dyson vacuum.

Gavin Calkins, Technical Lead
Gavin is our back-door man, doings lots of secret and mysterious code tricks to make just about everything function smoothly. We suspect he is God. By day, Gavin is a professional dancer and dance instructor, specializing in Salsa Dance, but also teaching International Latin, Standard, American Rhythm, Smooth, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Cardio Dance, and Hip Hop. For the past nine years, he has been an independent instructor teaching in bay area studios.

Susana Gallardo, Webjefa, Mind Garden South
Susana is an independent consultant who designed and implemented Mind Garden's current website. She has also created various designs for Mind Garden's online instruments, including the PCQ, POQ, ACL, BFD, and the MLQ series. By day, she teaches Women's Studies and Social Science at San Jose State University. Susana is also indebted to her brother Ralph and sister Daneane for being her constant technical support.
Kenneth Carrizosa, Technical Phenom, Mind Garden South
Ken is a technical chameleon--writing html and forms for various online instruments, fixing various types of code, maintaining our shopping cart system, and pretty much anything else that needs doing. By day, Ken is a Mechanical Engineer and Stanford doctoral candidate (abd). His research focuses on the intersection of engineering, design, and communication styles, and he has done extensive work in the use of communicative technologies in the undergraduate classroom. Ken current teaches in the Engineering program at Foothill College in Los Altos.
